About Tic-Tac-Toe
Tic-Tac-Toe is mathematically a draw with optimal play from both sides. Two perfect players will always tie. The fact that you can sometimes beat this CPU is intentional — the AI introduces ~18% random play to keep things interesting.
The opening that wins most often
Center first. Statistically, opening with the center gives you the highest win rate against a slightly imperfect opponent. Corner second-best, edge worst.
How to play
Click any empty cell to place your X. The CPU plays O after you. First to get 3 in a row — horizontally, vertically, or diagonally — wins. The CPU uses a minimax algorithm with a small randomness factor so it occasionally makes a mistake.
